Sarah Palin's Alaska was the highest rated
TV program in the history of the world. So that qualifies her to be President.:sarcasm:

2. I loved that show, I think the time the satellite killed the guy was
the funniest show I ever saw except maybe the WKRP turkey drop.

10. You would know John Corbett then, he is a local Wheeling WV
boy, I hear he still has a farm near Wheeling and has been spotted here with Bo Derek.

11. "Know," no. We were in the same place a few times.
I was an extra on a couple of episodes and got to watch them film several. It was tremendous fun. I hung out with other extras, and the stars had their own comings and goings. But we interacted a little. John Cullum and Darren Burrows and Peggy (Oh hell I'm spacing on her last name but she was Ruth Ann) were the most friendly. Generally a surprisingly happy set, maybe because they were stuck up here in the wilds of Washington. Corbett was goofy but seemed like a nice guy. He loved Seattle. Cynthia Geary's still here. Saw her in a play last year.

8. I confess. I watched it. Review below.
If I had been out in the Alaskan Wilderness with that woman, I'd have strangled her with her rock climbing rigging.

I think she might just wear America out with this one. She was just making shit up, conflating a mother Brown Bear (whose territory they should have backed the hell out of, but nooooo) with a Mama Grizzly, calling it one and then the other so she could identify with it in crude and obvious fashion. She'd casually mention that "We Alaskans go EVERYWHERE by float plane," all the while her little girl in the back seat was going "WHOOOOAAA, this is COOOL!", clearly never haivng done it before. In fact the kids were the best part, bored out of their minds at the idea of "This is what we DO in Alaska, catch our dinner!" and "Look! Look! That reporter is sitting on his deck; he must have been there all day just waiting to catch a glimpse of us!" I kid you not.

She whinneyed her way up the face of a rock, "Oh my gosh I'm afraid of heights this is just the most amazing thing I really had to screw up my courage to do this I don't SEE that hand hold this is what it's like in the great Alaskan wilderness of which America is made golly I bet Todd makes it up here way faster than I do how can you do this every day this is so HARD (forty five minutes later, the caption eventually read) it's just the hardest thing I've ever done and I've been an outdoor girl all my life did I mention I'm afraid of heights...." Tod did, in fact, shinny up the thing like it was a preschool playground. I hate to say it, but he's fairly hot.

I kept thinking about what she must look like to the bears whose fishing territory se was encroaching on, with her guide and her camera crew and Hair and Makeup (because the woman HAD hair and makeup).

Hell, I dunno. Green Acres was a hit, so maybe people will believe she's Fuck of the Mountains. But not me. I wanted to send Alaska a sympathy bouquet.

18. I wonder when she's show the real 'Sarah Palin Alaska' - the cesspool of Wasilla
I mean she only destroyed those lakes surrounding the city with her urban expanse.

16. So I was watching the Mark Twain award thingie on my tee vee
and when Tina Fey accepted it she brought up an old Life Magazine cover photo taken of herself and John McCain back in 2004. She apologized because she thinks she is in fact responsible for the rise of this Northern Over Ex Poseur-ed nit wit twit.

sometimes you laugh to keep yourself from killing something.

17. Bad Parenting
I watched about five minutes of it myself. I wanted to see just how stupid it was...and it was! I saw a few minutes of Sarah and Willow and Willow's boyfriend.

But I thought the part where Willow and her boyfriend are sneaking upstairs, after clearly being told that the boyfriend was NOT allowed upstairs really made Palin look like a foolish parent. My own personal parenting style was always that "no", really meant "no"!

19. I've heard it was actually going to be a nine-episode show...
but at the end, they decided not to show the hour about Wasilla, where the number-one landmark is a hockey rink, the number-one industry is meth manufacture, and the number-one desire of the population is to no longer live in Wasilla.
