1. My mom and my husband LOVE their Nooks
I'm hoping to get mine this Xmas...just in time for the color version. :) I watched a segment on e-readers on CNN a week or two ago and they said the Nook was going to have apps starting next year.

I have friends who love their Kindles and I think both models are great so the differences have to do more with personal preference. I prefer the touch screen that the Nook has. I also like the special offers and free books you can download when you take your Nook into the B&N stores. This also includes being able to read books for free for a set amount of time (60 minutes)...electronic book browsing more or less.

I know many here don't like the concept of e-readers, but there's something highly addicting about holding an entire library in the palm of your hands.
