8. Absolutely. I thought that was quite clear from the context.
Not to mention that the whole cauterized-wound thing was a big theme in sci-fi and film at the time, so we all understood it.

2. Oh, for Christ's sake - the light saber is an energy weapon. It cauterizes.
Edited on Mon Nov-29-10 01:46 AM by Rabrrrrrr
That was shown repeatedly in all the movies*, and always implied.

* except in the very first movie, Episode IV, in the cantina scene, when Obi Wan cuts off the arm of Panda Boba and it is shown on the floor bleeding. Other than that, it has ALWAYS been the truth that light sabers cauterize wounds. if one is willing to forgo that the first time the light saber showed up, it didn't cauterize.

making the hand the object that was lost.

10. He uses the Force to control the blood flow.
Jedi can use the Mind Trick to influence weaker minded people and they can move objects using the Force.
So it stands to reason they can use the Force to not bleed.

Now answer this:

Where the hell are the bathrooms on Star Trek? All those movies and TV spinoffs and I've never seen
one goddamn toilet.

waste not, want not -- especially if you can recombine an ice cream sundae from the chemical leavings of last night's bender.

11. I'd accept those bogus answers about cauterizing, but what about the poor bastard in Mos Eisley?
Edited on Mon Nov-29-10 10:00 PM by Orrex
The handsome guy whom Obi-wan disarms? Blood is clearly shown on the floor around the stump-end of the dismembered member.

I mean, Rabrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr already cited this one, but the fact that George left the scene intact for the various money-grubbing remixes is all the proof I need that the bleeding saber wound was deliberate and canonical.
