The plural of 'elf' is "elves' and not 'elf's'
It is taking every bit of self restraint I can muster not to post that on the Facebook page of my semi-literate sister.

Ugh. She has a photo of one of her kids and refers to the kid as "one of Santa's elf's." Awful.

2. I have two of them like that.
It's amazing. We all went to the same school, had the same teachers, and the same curriculum. Yet neither one of them can properly spell or punctuate.

I suggest you post this on your Facebook page:

3. Grammatically, that can work.
May not be what she means, but it does have a meaning. :)

Let her live. :) I posted something a few weeks back--a well thought out argument on something--and the only comment was someone negating the whole argument because I'd typoed "your" instead of "you're," or vice versa. Then there was the time I used "loose," and someone corrected me to "lose," even though I meant "loose." You can "loose" an argument as well as "lose" an argument. :)

If a flock of goose are geese, shouldn't more then one moose be meese?

Seriously, I've a boring enough life to have thought about these strange little inconstancies in our english language

16. I always thought...
That the plural of the fey elf was "elfs", but the plural of the Tolkien version was Elves.
