Worst Christmas Ever...
Edited on Sun Dec-26-10 02:20 PM by JCMach1
Started falling sick Xmas eve and was full-blown ill by the 25th. My wife, CYLRC, also came down with something. So we were just stuck at home doing nothing after opening presents with our girls.

I had to call-in sick today (26th) and I go the call everyone dreads when you live far away. Dad was taken in for emergency surgery on an aneurysm. That was a total shock. After I had talked to him in the evening, he just stopped talking... couldn't speak.

It seems that the surgery went well thank goodness. So far, I am hoping I don't have to hop on an emergency flight. It is always a hard thing to deal with when you are so far away from home like we are in the UAE.

this holiday. Your wife knows that I am just outside Tulsa. If your dad is nearby, and there is anyway I can help, please let me know.

Hope you all feel better soon.

9. That is a really lousy Christmas. Hope all goes well.
Luckily your dad survived and made it through the surgery, and from people I have known who have had an aneurysm, this is the most important part. I will keep you in my mind and hope all does go well with your dad.

I know how hard it is to be far from home when your parents have problems. Nothing feels worse. Best wishes.
