I got a gun for christmas - TOP THAT!!
Ok mind you it was a bb gun but still my jaw dropped for about 20 minutes after opening that gift. It all started about 2 months ago when my mother won a rifle in some raffle. Being that she had no use for a rifle (her husband is a hunter and has plenty of good hunting rifles) she was told by the store where she won it that should instead buy products equal to the value of the rifle.

When my mom told me I jokingly said 'Oh I could use a gun' which is a bit funny from me since I really don't like guns (but I do respect the rights for people to own them). So as a joke my stepfather got me a gun for xmas although like I said it's a bb-gun. He says it's a Daisy, which is top of the line.

So top that for gifts!

1. Daisy, first song sung by speech synthasiser in computer.
Edited on Sun Dec-26-10 05:35 PM by RandomThoughts
In 2010 the 'daisy' was sung as computer faded away, also in metaphor most probable explanation why some things seem child like when fading, and grow up again when helped up.

Also why I disagree with the clip where hal was killed in that clip as posted some time last year. Hal sung daisy since as he faded he went further and further back to basic essence.

That can explain the children part, but it is devastating to think of so have not posted it, do you still wonder why the angels cry?

also why a character on Mork and Mindy grew backwards.

2. Ha, I ALMOST got one -- I want a deer-hunting rifle, and Mr. Brickbat offered to get me one for
Christmas. However, I want to try a few out before I get one. Maybe next year!

3. Can't top that, but my son & daughter-in-law gave me a gag gift to open first --
a weird head-massager that looked like an open-ended whisk.

14. There's a wooden massager that looks like a spider that works great as a back massager.
The head massager is made of about 20 long wires connected to a handle, with a small plastic ball at the end of each wire ending. I thought it was a whisk for the kitchen!

22. Probably, if I knew how to unload it I would take the BBs out just to be safe
but they are in there (loaded by my stepfather) and I still don't know how to work the dang thing.

My step-daughter and her husband, who know I'm very interested in politics, got it for me. I thanked them and actually did start reading it last night.

29. you know, if you got those two together
the book would make an excellent target for the bb gun.

I did that with my diploma, used it for an archery target.

25. what I got for xmas:
A Borders gift card; yogurt pretzels; a blanket/throw (I get one every xmas); and my mom asking if my first real boyfriend who I worked with when I was 22, who she completely hated, kicked out of her house, and told me he was only looking for sex (which, sad to say, she was right about), was living in L.A. As in, is he still around for me to get together with again. *headdesk* Ach. Ugh. Oy.
