What afterschool activities did you do as a kid? Me, highland dancing, basketball,
afterschool sports and swimming lessons. I had my bronze medallion by the time I was 16.

20. Socially, bar band musicians are the bottom, but we have a lot of fun...
at least so I'm told...I don't remember much about it...;)
Anyway, I'm retired from all of it now.

6. Homework, piano lessons, and watching Howdy Doody.
There weren't organized after-school activities when I went to school.

I was in Girl Scouts for awhile, but they held their meetings in the evenings.

15. This is gonna sound grim.
Dying mother, and then working in my grandparents' cafe. Boehner's got nothing on me, baby, except more siblings.

31. Thanks. Unfortunately it resulted in one of those "marry to get out" marriages
but fortunately, we split up amicably and I eventually created a great life. One goofy side effect is that I kind of get where Boehner's coming from in being emotional about his past. However, unlike him I think it's absolutely necessary to do all we can to help people who might be in that position and not just admire the survivors and throw the others away.

I never would have made a cheerleader, anyway.

32. mostly swimming in high school, no other sports
I was much more active in grade and middle school - softball and swimming. There weren't as many sports options for females when I was in school, as there are now.

33. A three hour nap, holding the bed down.
I was exhausted after school and had to take a nap. My thyroid died when I was ten years old and I have taken thyroid ever since. When I was working the same thing happened. Come home at 5 o'clock or six o'clock and crash HARD.

In the evening I had orchestra. And Latin Club and Medical Careers Club. Mostly orchestra.
