7. Yeah, that get's my vote. Plus when I was in high school and pulled off "eruption"
for the first time in front of buddies, well--that's a pretty special moment for guitar child of the 80s!

I remember looking at the trascription in Guitar for the Practicing Musician thinking "Wow, I'll never pull that off--look at all those notes, and squiggles and stuff." It was the tremolo picking section that I started out with and I couldn't believe that I was able to play it recognizably.

It is definitely the best "Try this one on for size why don't you"-guitar solo of all time--mainly because all others are just imitations.

I have to say, I'm also partial to "Jamie's Cryin'". It reminds me of living at the beach right after I turned 18. Nothing but sand, water, amusement park, billiards, drinking, smoking weed, and havings lots o' sex. :D Damn. Good. Times.

15. Van Halen was always a guilty pleasure for me. Great performers.
I saw them live at some mega-venue in LA on one of their early tours. I wasn't a die hard fan, but they rocked and they were fun.

And who was Diamond Dave's personal trainer?

10. God I remember this song. Years ago I had a 70 Chevelle SS
I had dedicated my life to restoring this car and had done most of the work myself expect for the paint job. When the painters were done with it, I went to the shop to pick it up. They drove it out of the shop in "slow motion" and this was the tune that was cranking on the stereo! It was like a scene out of a Hollywood movie. I was grinning from ear to ear...
