1. I'm not of the opinion that insult is always conducive to comedy and that's all I got from Gervais
last night was insult intended to be comedic.

Not that I watched mind you, I never watch awards programs and didn't see a minute of the show other than DeNiro sucking at reading from a teleprompter and a hundred other uncomfortable moments.

Thank God for making me an atheist...brilliant. And his introduction of Bruce Willis - calling him Ashton Kutcher's father - also had me in stitches!
