1. I like the Chicks fine, but...
... some songs need never be covered.

2. Agreed. I like the Chix but the whole mandolins/country thing with this
tune did not do it for me at all. Also why screw with perfection. It is so completely Stevie's song. As with my other poll re: Van Morrison vs. Rod Stewart "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You"

6. I love the Chicks but prefer Stevie's by a hair...not sure why really,
since in some ways she kind of bugs me and I liked Fleetwood Mac better before the Buckingham/Nicks days, although they rocked then too...

3. The Dixie Chicks
Natalie Maines's vocals are wonderful and the harmonies of the other 2 are damn good. I can't take the hoarse warbling of Nicks.

5. That's a little like asking...
..."Which version of 'Angel of the Morning' is better? Merilee Rush's original or Juice Newton's cover?"

:eyes:

Or, for that matter, "Do you prefer Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush's 'Don't Give Up', or the remake by Willie Nelson and whoever-that-chick-was?"

7. I think the Dixie Chicks did a good job..
considering I don't think the song is really meant for bluegrass. Am a huge Dixie Chicks fan, but I vote for the original.
