She really hadn't been looking to get remarried or even date, my stepfather wasn't going to take no for an answer so she agreed to dinner and a movie so he'd shut-up. She had a good time. Several months pass, he loses and the divorce is on the verge of finalization...and he sues her for moral wrong and corrupting his children (by which he means me. Basically he accused her of adultery (because she's seeing someone else even though the divorce is not final...3.5 years after the initial filing.) and challenged the "no-fault" clause of their impending divorce.) He loses again after several more months and we're right on the cusp of the planned wedding. She came within one month of not finalizing the divorce before the wedding.
