1. It's sweet
It took me a bit to warm up to the accent Steve Carrell uses for the character but after a point, it started to work for me.

4. We got it from Redbox last week
I wasn't sure what to expect. Great movie for when you feel like something light and heartwarming.

I liked it. My 7 YO thought it was sort of forgettable, but he's a pretty tough critic. :D

it is kind of like Up (curmudgeon is brought out of his shell by child who helps him let go of the baggage from the past) but with sort of a wry take on the supervillain business. also unlike Up it is not that likely to drain you emotionally, but that might be what you're looking for in a cartoon.
