2. I'm not much of a Neil Young fan,
but that's a pretty good album.

9. Lately, Tristen's Charlatans At The Garden Gate CD
Edited on Wed Feb-23-11 10:44 PM by mvd
I'm sure this will be a 2011 fave. She is a singer songwriter who is a combo of country, bands like Eisley, and girl group sound.

Speaking of Eisley, their new album The Valley is also good. Heard the sneak peek at Spin's website.

10. Miles Davis, "Bitches Brew Live"
Tracks 1-3 from Newport Jazz Festival 1969, tracks 4-9 from Isle of Wight 1970. This CD was just released two weeks ago and is sort of a "companion piece" to the 40th Anniversary Bitches Brew set.

12. Minimata...4 different CDs by them.
Industrial/Power Electronics/Noise stuff. Quite a bit different from Marvin Gaye (though I like him as well). :)

13. Some very old stuff- Barbecue Bob, Skip James, Willie McTell...guitar
players from the 1930's...FWIW, Marvin Gay was a genius.

16. Street Sweeper Social Club
That is some good stuff right there. Most of the politics of Rage Against the Machine, not to mention the hard driving guitar of Tom Morello, with the incredible flow of Boots Riley (The Coup).

19. Been jumping around
All kinds of classics that never seem to get old. I actually found myself listening to grunge era again as well.

Watching the movie "Last Days" recently had me thinking of the early 90's.
