Sorry if this old news, I just heard.

About a year ago, MTV president Van Toffler was having trouble sleeping. "I was eating Fruit Loops and Cap'n Crunch out of the box and flipping through the dials when a Lady Gaga video came on," he says. That's when he had the idea: Bring back Beavis and Butt-Head. "I felt like there was a whole crop of new artists — and what the world sorely missed was the point of view that only Beavis and Butt-Head could bring."

The new show, which debuts later this year, will be very familiar to fans of the Nineties original. "They'll be self-contained segments with the boys in different situations like they used to be," Toffler says. "But this time around, they'll watch Jersey Shore, UFC matches and user-generated videos from YouTube, in addition to music videos." All of the programming will be displayed on the duo's TV, even if it comes from YouTube — "like silly videos of cats playing music."

1. Back in the mid-90s, it was one of the trend setters for

"decline-of-civilization" controversially low comedy...

Compared to what's out there today, B&B is going to seem like Masterpiece Theatre by comparison.

I remember telling someone that B' N B' are the only ones out there doing relevant critics on Music Videos. During the conversation I remember thinking that person was looking at me like I was a lunatic. Who's the nutcake now?

I read a while back that they were thinking about bringing it back, but this sounds like they're really going to do it. I miss those boys. I was just at a friend's the other night watching his DVD of old B&B episodes. I'm definitely looking forward to new ones.

10. *I RTFA* - As long as Mike Judge is involved, I'm OK with this.

Only Judge can make this watchable. I don't know who this Toffler Tosser is, but Mike Judge can possibly make this work.

It was funny when it first came out, but I'd rather see them bring back Celebrity Death match!!

12. When B&B first premiered, my roommate & I thought it was about us.

Rick & I used to have nightly man-time when we would watch MTV and rag on the videos. MTV used to play videos.

MTV used to play videos!
