texans: how do you know which electric company is cheapest

that "power to choose" :thumbsdown: website is crap :hurts: and hard to sort through

I need to renew my electric contract
-- I'm with Stream for a friend.
I love her, but If I can get the price down, I'll go with whatever company is cheapest.

Is there some other "consumer" friendly and not industry (cough cough) friendly website?? ---

i'm paying 10. somthing per kwh and looks like I will be about the same or 9.somthing or other if I renew with stream.
I see some others that are around 7. something per kwh.

Which company are you using????

1. Amigo Energy was one of the few with "Green Energy" option 2-years ago.

I've been very pleased. Paid $0.11 kwh last year, and will renew at .095 or .090. Green energy can cost just a little more, but I plan to install solar panels on the roof within next year or two. Their website is great. Note, ceiling fans help a LOT!

This apartment is "all bills paid" so I have no idea who he chooses to pay, since it's no longer "Houston Looting & Plunder" :P
