8. I never bothered to watch it because I thought it would suck.

The concept didn't appeal to me at all.

Then, I stumbled into an episode while flipping channels and wasn't sure what it was for the first couple minutes but it looked cool so I watched to the end.

It was a rerun of the episode (the pilot?) where he finds out he has cancer.

After that I watched the whole series up through the end of the last season with my wife and couldn't peel myself away.

I'm chomping at the bit for the start of the new season this summer!
