1. One of my all time favorite albums

And maybe the best album they ever did. I remember buying the LP and cassette at the same time when it came out because I had about an hour drive home and didn't want to wait to get home to listen to it! :toast:

2. I loved "Burn"...

...was indifferent to "Stormbringer," never heard "Come Taste The Band" at the time it was released, and thought "Slaves & Masters"...with Blackmore back in the fold but no Ian Gillan...was OK but nothing to get too excited about.

So when the Mach II lineup reformed, I was as excited as any other "classic rock" fan on the block. The follow-up, "House of Blue Lights," wasn;t as good, but such is life...

3. I'm about the same

I've been a huge DP fan since junior high, mark II will always be what I consider the quintessential DP lineup. They did their best work with that group IMO .
