Complete with anti-Semitism.
http://tv.yahoo.com/blog/cbss-suspension-of-two-and-a-half-men-hasnt-silenced-charlie-sheen--2440The latest flap seemed as though it should be the end of the Sheen saga. Yesterday, Sheen called in to "The Alex Jones Radio Show" to express his disdain for "Two and a Half Men" Executive Producer Lorre (specifically regarding a pair of very pointed messages Lorre communicated last week via his famous vanity cards). By evening, CBS had made a statement: The show — which was to have gone back into production next week — would instead be suspended for the rest of the season (or possibly longer). End of story, right?
Wrong. Sheen immediately shot back at Lorre via an open letter published on TMZ. The statement manages to be even more insulting than the "Alex Jones" interview had been — when it's not being incomprehensible, that is: "Clearly I have defeated this earthworm with my words — imagine what I would have done with my fire breathing fists." I...can't imagine.
Sheen hasn't tempered his public statements today, either. This morning, he sent several texts to Andrea Canning of ABC's "Good Morning America," deriding Lorre (of course) as a "clown" and a "loser," but also insisting that he will return to the set of "Two and a Half Men" on Tuesday. Apparently, his defiance has cancelled out his awareness of the fact that he'll be the only one there — and that, according to reports last night, Warner Bros. (which produces "Men") doesn't intend to pay him for the four episodes it cancelled due to his erratic behavior. It's not clear why Sheen would bother if, as he claimed last night, he's moving on to a talk show at HBO. Maybe he's decided to return to his (maybe) day job now that HBO has denied Sheen's story.
Sheen has also drawn the ire of the Anti-Defamation League today for repeatedly referring to Lorre not by his professional name, but by "Haim Levine," a variation on Lorre's birth name, Charles Michael Levine. "By invoking television producer Chuck Lorre's Jewish name in the context of an angry tirade against him, Charlie Sheen left the impression that another reason for his dislike of Mr. Lorre is his Jewishness," said Abraham H. Foxman, national director of the ADL.Maybe Lorre could start calling him "Carlos Estevez". :P
Now I realize why he picked
Alex Jones as his media outlet. They're both living in alternate realities. :eyes:
