17. these sunflowers are beautiful
why don't you plant some of those man-eating flowers - and ask your manager to put their finger in it.

reminds me of SPalin (I think it was) "trees use up oxygen"

3. I grew some of those one year.
Two were nine feet tall and the other one ten feet. The seed heads were huge, but never got pollinated, so the seeds never matured into something edible.

I suggest you plant some in a roll-around pot, give it to your manager as a peace offering. Just don't tell them they will get fourteen feet high. That way, when they do, you can grow yours just as high and point to theirs before refusing to cut yours back.

8. So, whatever happened with the management and their "request"?
Were you able to defy them? Did your neighbors give a damn either way? Was it one of them that initially complained? (I know the feeling on the latter, from the "aesthetics police"...)

11. I really like your sun flowers
But maybe you should consider growing something different, something they will really like.

15. LOL!
Ptah, Ptah, quite contrary, How does your garden grow?
With sunflowers so tall they shine over the wall,
And huge shapeless penis flowers that smell like putrefying roadkill all in a row!

<snip>
More information on the giant lily is available from the International Aroid Society, while this National Geographic piece includes a translation of the plant's scientific name: 'Amorpho meaning shapeless, phallus meaning penis, and titanum meaning huge'.

13. I've TOLD you the solution, Ptah!!!

.
This is Arizona. Plant a dozen of these, and not only will your
neighbors LOVE you... but the State Legislature will probably
establish a new holiday -- Ptahday -- and even declare it an
official state holiday with mandatory paid time off for all AZ
residents.
.
.
.
Just DO it. Why do you hate the rest of us so?

Well, the ones that the birds don't get to first.
