U.S. Postal Service to Introduce Portable Zip Codes
See, the slippery slope can't be a logical fallacy when there's proof like this that it happens!

The cell phone companies started it: letting people keep their numbers. The noive!

Now the postal service has introduced plans to allow people to keep their zip codes.

I just wonder: how will they get mail to me (when I reclaim 92647) and to Mrs. V. (when she reclaims her Tennessee zip code) here in Southern Maryland?

Gotta love NPR on the first day of April....

7. Oh come on
You mean Bill Clinton can't still keep 20500?

That'd be nice.

I recognized it as a joke immediately :).

I was actually impressed that they could do such a flat/dead-pan reading of the story without a hitch.

I was laughing my ass off :)
