Childhood games you invented. I think we invented run around the ping pong table.
You get a dozen kids and a dozen ping pong paddles. Only one ball. Each person get one hit then they have to run counter clockwise to the other end of the ping pong table to hit the ball when their turn comes. Every time you miss a shot you get a letter starting with the letter P. Once you have spelled P I G you are out. It get really fun once you are down to 3 people running desperately around the table. Once you are left with only two people they stop the running and simply play regular ping pong.

2. Bunt ball
Edited on Tue Mar-29-11 10:38 PM by bigwillq
Like baseball, except no running the bases. We used a little wood bat and a tennis ball. Point of the game was to bunt the ball past various checkpoints.
If it went from the plate to the pitcher without the pitcher catching the ball on three bounces or if the pitcher misplayed the ball, it was a single.
Double was past the pitcher, triple was when it hit the lower side of the shed, which served as our "fence". If it hit the top part of the shed or went over the shed it was a homerun. We would keep score like you normally did in baseball. We would also pick "players, Don Mattingly, Wade Boggs, etc" and then keep season stats. So much fun. Killed a lot of trees by keeping all those stats! :)
