They're my NL team, but over in the AL I am still hoping for a Mariners win before Edgar retires.

Still, a Cubs victory would be long overdue, to say the very least. :-)

14. ALABAMA AND UAB WERE ON THE COVER LAST WEEK
They both lost last week. St Joe's was on the cover. They lost. Just some recent examples. I hope the cubs are on the cover of SI every issue for the next six months. GO PHILLIES! Whining Cubs fans should spend 40 years being a Phillie fan if they want real pain. And the Cubs aren't cute, they are just a mediocre team which should be in the American League.

People, like I said, only remember the failures on the covers of SI. The successes outweigh them.. Any search of their own archives bears this out.
