2. I know very little Peg. One of the artists my son has been studying...
...as he begins to work with painting (he's a high school art student) is the New Jersey State Artist, Mel Leipzig.

This is another artist in the gallery that represents Mr. Leipzig, the Gallery Hennoch.

My son attends some of Mr. Leipzig's lectures and hopes to study under him at some point.

The texture on the robe/skirt/whatever is perfect.

I took Art History in college, but we didn't get to the 1900's, so this is new to me. Very interesting picture.
