She's not fit to be a parent. Some of the comments below the article are pretty good.

1. It's quite unreal that...
she doesn't understand how abnormal this is. She seemed to have an answer for everything. Hearing an 8 year old talk about wrinkles defies all possible normalcy for this kid.

2. I really...really don't get people torturing their kids to this level.
What could be the ultimate goal of this. The Title of Miss America? Normal people don't even the fuck care about that shit anymore.

Yeah....It USED TO be one of the highest rated programs of the year. Nowadays even the former Big Three don't want it.

So. What's the point? Besides painting up and teaching your three year old to dance like a hooker and be pedo bait, that is.

3. This might be a form of Munchhausen by Proxy
Typically this syndrome involves keeping or making a child sick so that the mother (usually the mother) can reap the attention and sympathy of medical professionals and others who believe the parent is devoted and selfless. It's covert and life-threatening to the child, who is really just a "possession" of the narcissistic parent.

This woman can do this overtly with the Botox, is "doing it for her daughter" and has the delusion that the harmful thing she is perpetrating on the girl is going to benefit them both in some way, when really it is impossible for a child of that age to have the kind of desires the mother is attributing to her. It's the mother that wants the attention of the beauty pageants. For the kid that's the road to having the mother's love.

This should be stopped, but it would be a judgment call since it's not illegal or life threatening.
