Nurses in a hospital normally have to deal with cranky and demanding
people... some understandably so because they're sick and/or in pain...
others simply because, sick or not... they're just plain assholes.

Following my motorcycle accident in 1981, I spent 10 days in the
hospital and THOSE nurses spent a LOT of time in my room (no
complaint whatsoever... some of them were SMOKIN'). But they
were spending SO much time with me that I finally asked one why.

She informed me that I was on an orthopedic ward and quite possibly
the ONLY man on the floor under the age of SIXTY!!!!!

They're probably STILL swapping stories about me. To be fair, it was my first stay in a hospital (at 47) and they kept jabbing me with needles and IVs and that fucking thing they poke you in the belly with every day to keep you from getting constipated. I did me some bitchin'. The drugs were good.
