4. that translation is not correct...
it should say ¡El español es por mucho superior al alemán! or even ¡El español es superior al alemán por mucho!

"lejos superior" would be like "superior far away" :P

5. Google translator does that sort of thing all the time...
I've ended up with some pretty funny results when translating things to other languages and back...
