It was pure hell. Maybe like giving a bath to a cat?

This is a dog who stays in the lake for half an hour trying to catch a fish. But he stinks. Really stinks. I had to lock him in the bathroom, fill the tub, and force him into the tub to get started. He was ok for about 5 minutes and then there was a revolt.

It was over. Soaped up dog decided he was done with the bath. Scratched me and jumped out of the tub. He shook and shook all over the bathroom. Dog shampoo everywhere. I gave up. Tried to dry him. He is soapy. He will be in the lake tomorrow anyway.

Maybe God will want him. O8)

2. I always have towels ready to throw over the dog...
...when he bails out. That way the bathroom survives better.

This is one task I do not like much.

3. I did have towells.
Next time I will go to one of those places where they have the place you can actually hook your dogs collar to in a big tub with high walls. Disadvantage: You can't get in there with him. Advantage: He cannot escape.

However I do have a fear of my dog escaping anyway and running soapy and wet through a crowded store full of people picking out puppies, kittens and hamsters... and my dog deciding he deserves at least a hamster treat for putting up with the bath.

7. one time I hooked his leash to the rod for the shower curtain
I thought I was pretty smart. When he bailed, he ripped the thing right out. !!!

8. Industrial strength grooming environment needed.
I have a friend who blows $60 a month getting her enormous St. Bernard groomed, and he isn't particularly cooperative either... I guess thats why she pays someone else to do it.

5. I am guessing most dogs would get raptured before most people.
I have yet to meet an evil dog.
