2. I think that's the kid I sat in front of
last month on my flight home from Paris. They should have a special soundproof compartments for kids like that. Like the crying rooms they used to have in churches.

3. They should have special oxygen-proof compartments for the parents
who insist on bringing kids like that onto planes.

9. c/mon now, you can't always know how kids are going to
react on planes, particularly babies and toddlers. Some parents have no choice but to fly with em.

4. Poor kid probably needed to drink or eat something as plane ascended
Notice the long-suffering, patient guy who's doing the recording is chewing a big wad of gum.
I have an ear that sometimes hurts and "squeaks" during takeoff unless I chew gum, or hold my breath to balance the pressure in my ear.

7. Yes, some kids have ear infections or ear problems...
that can cause them to experience a great deal of pain...And then some are just spoiled brats. My Mom taught my brother & I at a very early age how to "pop our ears" to get relief...Maybe they should inform mothers who do not know this trick or are first time fliers so they can show their children given they are old enough to do it.

8. You just made my Friday!
I was laughing so hard my wife had to come in here to see what was so funny & she too left the room laughing!

That kid was hitting some seriously high decibels, huh?

The funny thing about the guy making the video...He was my roommate in the military & we just reconnected on Facebook after 20yrs!

10. When my family first went to Japan as military
our kids were just awful. Tore up and down the aisles of the planes, went crazy. Well, that's what kids'll do. On a subsequent flight on what was known as the "Freedom Bird" out of Japan (military flight bringing folks home stateside on leave) I learned the secret to why military kids were so compliant and easy to manage on THOSE flights. The military moms (some of them, anyway) mixed some Benadryl into juiceboxes for the kids to ensure that those looooooong flights would not be the mind-killing, brain-destructive flights for passengers and crew that they ordinarily would be.
