Yes, a guy flick. Rock Hudson at his best, Patrick McGoohan, Jim Brown and Ernest Borgnine (I am thankful he is still with us). Great cast, great music. Check it out.

2. One of my faves as a kid.
Haven't seen it in awhile (no cable), but maybe I can locate it online to watch it again sometime.

3. Great movie
Patrick McGoohan (Jones) had the best lines...

Jones: The Russians put our camera made by our German scientists and your film made by your German scientists into their satellite made by their German scientists.

Ferraday: It wasn't sealing wax. It wasn't chewing gum. It was epoxy glue. And all of a sudden you know a whole damn lot about submarines.
Jones: I know how to wreck them, and I know how to lie, steal, kidnap, counterfeit, suborn and kill. That's my job. I do it with great pride.

Anders: No, Sir. A bullet goes just as fast up here as it does down there.
Jones: Not quite. An insignificant difference, perhaps, but I think you'll find the operational characteristics of the M-16 indicate that a bullet will decelerate as much as 40 feet per second per second faster in these climate conditions. It's denser air, you know.
(Technical types will be pleased to note that they got the units correct: ft/s2. This could have easily been another Star Wars "parsec" moment as I don't expect editors, directors or actors to necessarily be versed in kinematics.)

And my favorite scene: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaYsEfAduL0#t=2m5s
"Woke me out of a rotten sleep. Asinine reflex. Idiotic. It won't happen again. Endless apologies."

It's an even better book:

Alistair MacLean is always a good read provided you keep to his earlier (pre 1977) novels.

6. Yeah! McGoohan also starred in a series called Secret Agent.
Very nice indeed.
