I *get* it

You guys have Rick Perry as a governor - someone so bad that he made George W Bush look like a good governor.

This shitstain thinks he's a prophet.

You guys and gals could use the break from his nonsense.

Love,

Taverner

offer! Texas has some very awesome progressives in high positions. We'll be fine now that the Bushes are out. I'd rather live here than the recently red MI where I spent most of my years, although my heart will always belong to WI.

2. Yes but you still have Rick Perry as governor
I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy, let alone a fellow progressive

3. Sorry, but I'll take my mayor over every other mayor of a large city.
Edited on Fri Jun-17-11 12:07 AM by ScreamingMeemie
She's done an awesome job and is the first openly lesbian mayor. I'm thinking that's a win. I've got two brothers who live in CA, and, no offense, but I think I'll stay here and just visit them. Realize, for once and for all, that Texas is a large state moving slowly toward purple...and then on to blue.

And... Perry who? He's in Austin. This is Houston.

:hi: I like my state just a little bit more than yours. :) Really incredible things are happening here for Democrats. Next up- bashing down the stereotyping of all of Texas right here on DU. :bounce:

7. You see, Rick Perry is not all of Texas...so there's no need for us
Edited on Fri Jun-17-11 01:13 AM by ScreamingMeemie
to leave to smoke a joint in another state. I hate MI's governor, but I don't think the residents of that great state need to leave. I abhor WI's and that state is the beautiful place where most of my family lives. There are things about California that I can't stand, your recently departed governor and Prop 8 being two of them. See? Most states have their warts. As a side note, the biggest "Christian" hater I ever met was a native Californian...my brother invited him to his wedding and we were stuck listening to his "judgements".

9. I'll take the Bar-B-Q and Tex-Mex in Texas over that of anywhere else.
Edited on Fri Jun-17-11 07:15 AM by LanternWaste
The biggest drag living here is are the summers (and one just began too. Sigh). Other than that, its political differences from the country's average is merely in degrees.

And of course, I'll take the Bar-B-Q and Tex-Mex in Texas over that of anywhere else. : :P

No - I offer my abode as a place to crash when not wanting to be under Perry's ever watchful eye

And you attack me for it

I'll have to pass on the doob, though. I quit that over 20 years ago. Besides, if it shows up in my blood my GP won't give me anymore oxycodone. That would be bad.

Perry's an asswipe, and yes, sometimes we do need a break from the battle. But we've got to stay down here to continue the fight. One of these days, I'm going to have "my" Texas back. Turn Texas Blue!!!

The "I hate everything" shtick gets a little old after a while. Frankly, I haven't heard a genuinely new joke from him in years.
