Question about freezing stuff, such as meat with spaghetti sauce.

I've always put a serving in a little plastic container and froze it. But in just a few days it
has lots of frost in it. I wonder if it would be better to put it in a freezer bag?

1. That's what I do. Force out as much air as possible.

2. The frost is just water from the sauce that's moved around in the container, isn't it?
Who cares if that happens? When you defrost and reheat, that water will all go back in the sauce

You probably want to freeze your stuff in a container with a tight seal, if it's gonna be in the freezer for a long time: otherwise, the water will eventually evaporate from the food and the result will be "freeze-dried" -- many foods won't be ruined when freeze-dried but you'll have to re-add water when cooking

3. I lay a piece of saran wrap right on top of the sauce covering..
all of it, right to the sides of the container. Then I use the regular cover, burping out the air.

4. Freezer bag...
then you can just plunk them in boiling water to heat them up. Kinda like those bags of chicken-ala-king that we used to buy. Gawd, those things were gross.
