What have you seen today that pleased you?
Or that you noticed, that you might not usually? Or that made you angry or curious or upset?

today, I've seen

Mrs. V's best friend, Dorothy
a lot of people in a mall
an asshole walking too damned fast for his 3-yr-old boy to keep up
four little girls who all smiled when I smiled at them
very friendly young women giving excellent service at a greasy spoon
a pile of french fries that made a fat woman very happy, for a few minutes, anyway
a willful kitten
a hungry, furtive feral cat trying to eat all he could before the cat he's afraid of came up
downy woodpeckers, male & female, on the suet block
daffodils
crocuses/croci/crocusi :)
tiny, tiny flowers in the grass
dandelions
a hawk
a squirrel eating dry cat food
a gray & white tabby, nearly ten years old, playing like a kitten
gray hair and acne in the mirror (adolescents, ignore that)
azaleas and grass greening up all over the place
wind-blown trees & yard waste
a messy house
my beloved, blue woman, sleeping

What have you seen today?

4. I was in Grand Central Station today
and as I descended to the subway, I saw Air America Ads plastered on the walls all the way down. There is no way you can miss it! The commuter traffic at that station is enormous! Hopefully, the ads will prompt people who are on the fence to tune in!

5. Furry face
smiling at me 6 inches from my face when I woke up. Silly cat.

Sunshine streaming through the window when I opened the blinds this morning.

Good cup of coffee.

Invite in my e-mail to a Kerry House Party.

Friendly people at the Farmer's Market

My paintings for upcoming show coming along nicely.

Lots of Kerry bumper stickers.

Phone call from one of my sons saying he's coming over this weekend.

One of my orchids is blooming.

Didn't have to buy gas.

One of my cats took his pill without too much fuss.

Lost 4 pounds. Hooray.

Found 3 CDs on Amazon from the 60s that I didn't know were still available.

It's warm outside so I opened all the windows.

Deer in my backyard.

An awful lot of green - all the trees are blossoming and green leaves are everywhere.

11. The movie Sneakers
:) that made me happy as was a favorite from my past.

Today is a slow day, I'm sick and haven't been outside. Normally just stepping outside gives me a huge ammount of pleasurable things to see.

I will say that yesterday I saw a cat who managed to get on the roof and was stalking turtle doves. That made me smile (and all the turtle doves managed to stay safe!) :)

12. mine
--A woman came to my cash register & said if you ever need any vintage clothing clean go to such & such place. The first thing this morning I had looked on line to find out how to clean some vintage drapes. There was NO way she could have known that. I LOVE synchronicity.
--The place where I work is a satellite viewing stop for the Humane Society. The newest cat is a Himalayan who is the sweetest, nicest boy. I know he won't be with us long.
--My daughter stopped in to see me. She always makes me smile because she's smart, funny & gorgeous.
--More & more people are openly saying what a jerk * is.
--I can finally relax with a glass of wine & some good music.
--Lucy the cat just came back in, all purrs.

Life can be very sweet.

An elderly man with nothing in his shopping cart except two twelve packs of beer and a bottle of peroxide
A tub of expired coleslaw in the 'fridge
A nifty garage sale
A bunch of kids playing basketball in the street
My 12 year old walking home with her friends, laughing, arms slung over each others' shoulders
Muddy sneakers
A big fat bud on my rosebush
A box of Count Chocula on sale
An e-mail from my ex-husband telling me how much he dislikes *
A pair of baseball tickets
A warm cup of Dunkin Donuts coffee
Clean sheets in the dryer
A donald Duck bobble-head

21. I watched
my dog eating his morsels of dog food out of his bowl when he didn't know I was watching. I watched for several moments until he caught me watching, and then he gave me an innocent look like ...

"what??? why are you staring at me???"

I was grinning and giggling at him by the time he noticed I was watching. My dog is so adorable. He's funny.

I love my dog. And, he worships the ground I walk on.

24. my boys
I have 3 boys from a previous marriage and one from my marriage now. My 3 oldest spend spring vacation in SC with my ex and his wife. They came home today after being gone for a week so seeing them and the look on my youngest sons face made my day. My house is loud and already a mess but I am happy. :) Life is good. :)
