1. Had to vote for Christopher Walken in a very good movie
At Close Range. Sean Penn plays one of his sons. Chilling movie.

7. It includes the song "Live to Tell", which is probably the best thing Madonna ever did.

3. The single most chilling moment in that movie for me...
...and I don't know how intentional this was, or if it was Nicholson or Kubrick who had the idea...is that the kid's name is Danny, and Nicholson calls him that throughout the movie, but when he flips out and is chasing him through the ice maze he yells "I'm comin' for ya, DAN!"

:-)

4. I'll have to listen for that the next time I watch it...
As a young kid, hearing the kid yelling REDRUM always freaked me out. :scared:

Amazing performance by Jack in that movie.

8. No Great Santini?
The entire movie was about what an awful dad he was.

10. I have to go with Noah Cross
He knew exactly what he was doing, not only to his daughter, everyone around him, the consequences and didn't care -- completely amoral. Torrence was driven insane by whatever possessed that hotel; he had no control over his action.

12. How about John Heard as....
Peter McCallister in the Home Alone movies?
I mean...he was a pretty irresponsible father, if you ask me.

people and taught his sons to also. Can't think of the movie name or who was in it, but that dad was not my idea of a very good dad.

My daughter-in-law figured it out: Fraility starring Bill Paxton and Matthew McConaughey. Bill Paxton was a very bad dad in that one.
