I'm all over the road like a Ford Mustang on an icy road
"Finally" was one of the big numbers in "Pricilla Queen of the Desert". I think it's the song they danced to when they were at the Casino, where Hugo Weaving first saw his son.

85. Your lucky album has one of my luckiest songs on it - "Best of Santana (Vol 2)"
Santana does a remake of George Harrison's "Well All Right" which is 100% better than the George Harrison version.

I guess you and Dr. Strange hit the 'Best of' album section since my albums are sorted alphabetical by album name.

UNC choked against Syracuse in the NCAA Tourney the week that album came out.

Luck my ass.

And how many people have gotten speeding tickets while accelerating to the opening track Streets Have No Name?

Were those people lucky?

I think not.

97. David Lee Roth's "Crazy From the Heat" is your lucky album
I always had a wonderful memory of "Just a Gigalo". 10 of us were packed in one of those oversized station wagons along with camping gear, overnight bags and 2 beer kegs. As we were trying to get up the hill that lead us to the Spring Fling at Millersville University, the car could only do about 10 miles per hour. That song came on the radio and we sang it at the top of our lungs.

Oh and that was my house number where I grew up at.

128. Your Lucky album is "El Sapo" by Azul Azul. This album has a GREAT history
Edited on Wed Jun-29-11 11:26 PM by LynneSin
They had a big hit in Latin America back in 2000 - La Bomba. I happen to be vacationing in Costa Rica that summer so the clubs everywhere were playing that song. So needless to say we all loved this song and loved dancing to it. I think we each bought a copy of the album to take home to the states.

Well, when you get home from vacation and listen to the crazy music you heard in strange and exotic lands, well the song is kinda like "Macarena" or "Rico Suave" - fun as hell when you're partying at the clubs but when you sober up you're like 'huh?'.

It's a fun album though. I just listened to "La Bomba" again and it was a fun party song!

156. Man you lucky you! One of the best supergroups - Traveling Wilburys Vol 3 by The Traveling Wilburys
Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan and George Harrison form this group where they are the Wilbury Brothers. It was made right before Roy Orbison's death.

When they made the video "End of the Line":
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traveling_Wilburys#History

Roy Orbison's death on December 6, 1988, brought the end of the original lineup. In tribute to Orbison, during the music video for "End of the Line", when Orbison sings, his guitar is shown rocking in a chair as the rest of the group around him play, followed by a brief shot focusing on a framed picture of him.

164. Well we're going oldschool for your lucky album - "Jackson 5: The Ultimate Collection"
Those were the days - when Michael Jackson actually had a nose.

I hope it's a good one!

166. You're lucky album is The Verve "Urban Hymns" which includes the notable song
Bittersweet Symphony.

They had one of the biggest hits ever and then the band broke up. The one member said you had a better chance of seeing all 4 Beatles reunited then those 4 ever getting on stage again.

173. Interesting - I hope you like Russian Ska Punk bands - Leningrad's "Dlya Millionov"
It was actually a DUer that turned me on to this album.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leningrad_(band)

My list is currently alphabetized by album name. Starting next month my intentions is to listen to all my music on my Ipod, which would require listening to 2-3 albums a day, which is fine. I listen to alot of music at work so it can be done. Then I want to blog about the music and other life musings.

My co-worker just gave me all of his music so I have to incorporate that into my collection so I probably will have about 1500albums by the time I start this project.

As for my Ipod sort - I'm very anal retentive with the organization. Alphabetical order by artist. Last name first for individuals unless the artists name happens to be a part of the group name (Like Alan Parson Project or Steve Miller Band). The the band or album name starts with 'The' or 'A' then it's by the 2nd word. All my albums must have album covers too when I search on my ipod it's by cover; kinda like I would with my albums.

My high school class taught us filing for a few weeks - I got very good at it.

177. Wow!
That's WAAAAAYYYYY more organized than i am. I probably have 15 CD boxes that are empty, and i'm not sure where the disks are. They could be in the changer in one car, or in the folder in the other car, or just laying collecting dust somewhere.

Russian ska, huh? Sounds interesting.
