Impromptu hallway-meeting etiquette for all you dumbasses out there
You know the ones. They "happen" to meet from opposite directions in the hallway and just have to stop for a long-winded impromptu meeting. They lean against opposite walls and if you want to get through, you've got to basically "butt in" to their conversation just to get by.

Look here! Lean against one wall so the rest of us can get by without being forced to be rude in return. Or better yet, take it to one of the dozen empty meeting rooms on the floor and leave the hallways for, you know, walking and getting from one office to another without obstacles.

:P

1. I like the impromptu meetings on the elevators...NOT!!!
Then when it stops on the floor where one is suppose to get off - instead they hold up the elevator (and everyone in it) just to finish their conversation

:grr:

4. That's as bad as people holding up grocery lines.
Although holding up an elevator is a safety hazard. I would bet if our safety guy was there, he'd mention it, loudly! :D

2. I like the ones on the stairway.
My workplace has a stairway that goes through the middle of an atrium in the center of the building. Everybody uses this stairway, and people are always blocking it by having conversations at the little landings where the stairway turns so you have to sidle around them. They don't even have a wall to lean on; if they move too far out of the way they might fall over the railing, so they just stand there. In the middle of the stairway landing.

3. If you're not in a hurry,
you should stop and listen in, like you're part of their conversation }(
