FUCKS 3 - TV?

I don't know much about cable TV...
Went to a motel with my companion the other night.
Put on the TV......and this was on the screen:

I was shocked! I was hysterical.....
Comcast.
I turned on the TV to get the classic rock station....
I continued to turn the TV off and on....to no avail.
All I saw was the blank screen with FUCKS 3.
I told my friend that I was going to call the office....about 10:00 P.M.
And so I did.


Office Lady: Hello? Front desk. (something like that)
Me: I just turned on the TV and all I can get is a blank screen with an expletive.
OL: An expletive?
Me: Yes. A four-letter-word-three.
OL. What word?
Me: Fucks. FUCKS 3.
OL: OH! That's never happened before. I don't understand.
Me: I don't either! I just want to listen to music!
OL. Did you try changing the channel?
Me: Yes. But mostly just turning the TV off and on because I'm busy taking pictures of the TV screen! (stifle laughter)
OL: I'm so sorry.
Me: This is terrible! What if a family with children saw this??
OL: I'm so sorry.
Me: Is this some type of porn thing? Why won't it go away?
OL: I don't understand. This is something that needs to be checked out. I'll send maintenance first thing in the morning. In the meantime, just keep trying to change the channel. I'm so sorry!
Me: Okay. Thank You. Bye.
OL: I'm sorry. Call back if you need to. Bye.

So....my companion told me that it was the most idiotic phone call that he's ever witnessed or heard of in his entire life! (ME) I was LMAO (silently, of course, during the phone call)
He agreed that it was indeed bizarre, but thought I should not have made the call. What makes it even funnier is that he's an attorney! They see and hear it all! He thought I was overreacting! Yeah, right!

My friend ...familiar with Comcast, finally recalled/pressed the correct numbers for music.
Ahhhh.....classic rock.

The next day:
On our way out the door...I clicked the TV back on. Classic rock was on the screen.
These people have my name....I made the reservations.
Another day in the life.....

Okay....who knows about FUCKS 3 TV? It was a blank screen.
Anyone?

Night instead of getting what you paid for? I think someone was playing a joke on you, maybe? Weird stuff.

I have a warped sense of humor, and take pictures of everything.
I do believe that if I had called again we would have been simply moved to another cabin.
Sunday night...the cabin adjacent to us was empty.

My friend was able to change the station...I pressed many #s on the remote...nothing happened.
It was sheer luck as he's not had cable in years...yet remembered.

But it was a bizarre Kodak moment...
I want to send them the photos as the TV was okay when I turned it back on before we checked out.
We just left the key thing in the room...and split.
I think......they think they got a prank call!

Yes, very weird.

I am innocent of this particular transgression, but I have done something similar with a hotel TV. If I remember correctly, a Samsung I had in NYC one time allowed almost 30 characters for each input label. That was fun.
