We're back at that point where so much of DU becomes unreadable.

All the scrapping and backstabbing when these big events happen.

It may blow over soon, maybe not.

But there's always the Lounge.

I remember when things got dicey in 2003 and 2007 - the run-up to the presidential primaries.

As soon as Kerry and then Obama won the nominations, things calmed down rather quickly.

While most of us expect Obama to be renominated with little to no opposition, once it's clear that he (or, very unlikely, someone else) has won the nomination, the rancor will likely go down quite a bit.

6. The Lounge is the only place that's not utterly predictable.

The others are just round and round and round and assumption and reaction and counter-reaction and probably this and probably that and it wears me the hell out. It's tragic that it's so boring when th things going on are really quite important and there's the potential for good discussion.

At least around here we laugh a lot and I actually learn something new (though generally useless) once in a while.
