Recording sound on the PC?
I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to record Air America. Anyone know how to do this? I am using Goldwave.

1. you need a tool named "streambox VCR"

It's freeware, for example here:
http://www.pctip.ch/downloads/dl/24171.asp

Edit: this tool is to record RM streams, like the one offered by AA, to the HD. It is no longer available in the US for download, thus the Swiss link.

4. What do we need to know for this software?

I installed it and it has a number of entries (6 beta versions) in the Start menu, along with RealAudio Renamer(?) and Streambox Ripper(?)...

In addition, when I first run it there's a Set Account dialog - huh?

3. Re: recording sound on the PC
Get yourself a copy of a shareware program called Total Recorder.
I think it can be found at:

www.HighCriteria.com

It works great. All sounc goes through this program and you just start recording and end recording whenever you like. It will also record directly to MP3 format.

Good luck.
