Whiskey really does numb the pain.

I have a massive toothache from a molar that just had the filling replaced. And the thing is hurting me. I don't think my dentist did something right because I have never had a toothache like this before in my life even when I needed root canal.

I'm on the phone crying to my mother because of the pain that I am in. She suggests I use whiskey to numb the pain and would you believe it - it actually works. Mind you my mother never drinks. I asked her if tequila would work because that's about it for booze in the house for me. She said she doesn't think so.

Of course the only whiskey I have in my house (since I can't really stand Whiskey) was in a goodie bag from the Kentucky ball at the Inauguration in DC Jan 2009. Wild Turkey American Honey - A smooth liqueur blend of honey and bourbon whiskey. I'm to put some on my finger and rub it on my gums where it is sore.

Oh I also found out that's what my mom did when I was teething.

Pain will be gone soon. Of course you'll probably have a whole new pain to deal with tomorrow. :)
