John Kennedy Oswald died last night

Warrant Singer Jani Lane Dies at 47

On Thursday, the heavy metal singer was found dead in his room at a Comfort Inn in Woodland Hills, Calif., the Associated Press confirms. Police officers told the AP that the cause and circumstances of the rocker's death are not yet known.

Lane (real name: John Kennedy Oswald) is survived by four children, Taylar, Brittany, Madison and Ryan, from two previous marriages. (Taylar's mother is model Bobbie Brown, his first wife, who starred in Warrant's classic "Cherry Pie" video.) According to his Twitter account, his third wife is named Kimberly.

1. I saw that story. It's sad; he was so young.

I was never a fan of Warrant. Though I loved hard rock, I found that band too poppy. But it's still a sad story. First Amy Winehouse, now Jani Lane. I wonder if we'll lose another singer sometime soon. (Isn't it usually in threes?)
