Walt did exactly what serial killers do that usually get them caught, his ego got the best of him. He couldn't stand for someone else to get the credit for his work.

I doubt this was some well thought out way to lead Hank to Gus. Or was it? :shrug:

No, I don't think it's some clever plan by Walt. I think that slip was him cringing at the thought of Gale getting credit as Heisenberg - that and Walt just likes to fuck things up.

As for Gus, damn that man is scary. He's propping up Jesse to drive a wedge between Walt and his protege. Walt is smart but he's too emotional, too reactionary. If he wants to win he needs to either learn to chill out or finally tell Skyler everything, because that lady is a mafia boss.
