Robot Chicken
Lover Boy and I don't watch a lot of TV though we do buy a fair number of movies. He doesn't do a lot of comedy stuff as he prefers to find films with strong dramatic dialogue.

However, that show gets him howling out loud. I get about half the references myself (Thundercats?) but even when I don't it's pretty darned funny. We've just completed our Robot Chicken collection with their 3rd Star Wars parody DVD.


Any other RC fans?

1. I like RC in small doses
which it luckily comes in. Aqua Unit Patrol Squad One is another also on cartoon network and used to be called Aqua Teen Hunger Force - eps are short - and quite good too - if a bit.. extreme at times. :evilgrin:

2. I love nearly all the Adult Swim lineup
But I especially love most everything Seth Green does so RC is high on my list of favorites.

lol, I have an Aquateen Hunger Force post card stuck to the side of my computer case here at work...

I once went to Comicon and got George Lowe to record my cell phone answering machine message (He is the voice of Space Ghost among other things including a recurring character on ATHF).

But since it was my work phone my boss made me change the message

That show is like crack to me; I could watch it for hours without eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom, etc.

10. There's a real meanness to much of RC
that doesn't sit well with me at all. Metalocalypse rules, especially William ("I play bass not to have a job!!") Murderface. I used to know some metal people who thought it was the perfect sendup of the whole metal subculture. ATHF also wears very well with repeated viewings. Shake is the perfect embodiment of selfish, solipsistic stupidity and his throwaway line are hilarious.

Robot Chicken was a guilty pleasure. It's hilarious, and I'm old enough to get almost all the references.

Last year, when I still lived with my wife but already knew things had totally gone to Hell, I kept my sanity at night by watching Robot Chicken, Ugly Americans and South Park. I couldn't really sleep that well, and these made me laugh. She was down the hall on Facebook until 1 or 2, and I was cuddled up in bed watching Robot Chicken.
