1. A Serbian woman.
It was ad for mail-order brides. Hey, the ad came on late at night, I was drunk, and whoever answered the phone was a killer salesperson.

2. What the Hades is *that*?!1 But moving along, what the Hades *IS* that?!1
I would mention my own little flaws, such as a couple of "As Seen on TV" items, like, a Foot Scrubber *and* a Magic Meatloaf" scrubber, but that would give away too many of my DUers.

11. It's still catching fish!
My Mom has it up at her place in northern WI.

It no longer casts, but just dangling a line into the water off a pier or boat, it's good.

12. very cool
Like many pocket fishermen in northern Wisconsin where the summer days are almost Arctic in length, Archae often doesn't start fishing until the cool of the evening. Then in the Arctic half-light of the canyon, all existence fades to a being with his soul and memories and the sounds of the Peshtigo River and a four-count rhythm and the hope that a fish will rise. Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of those rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are siren songs of paid hucksters peddling crap. I am haunted by infomercials.

:hi:

17. I had a friend several years ago
who came home high and plopped in front of the TV. He had a vague memory of what he did a week later when a $125 box set of the Three Stooges arrived. He claimed he put a sticky note on the TV: No orders when drunk!

4. I bought a juicer
from the dude with the never-trimmed eyebrows...

It was a complete PITA to clean so it sits in the basement waiting for the next garage sale.

9. My dad ordered something in the mail. My mom went to the post office and lugged this huge, heavy box
home. My dad opened it. It was a dolly for carrying large boxes. It never had a use again. LOL!

13. I have 3 of them, they all work just fine.
I found them at yard sales or flea markets.

Two were in the boxes brand new, only a few dollars each.

The only thing I have bought off the tv was space bags for a friend who was moving.

They worked just fine.

14. Any kind of beer where fat slobs are out in the woods and hot babes in bikinis come out of nowhere
as soon as one of them pops open a can. Wait a minute - that sort of sums up ALL beer ads.

15. Not sure this counts
but I bought an Iron Man watch for the sole reason that they used the song Iron Man in the TV commercial. I felt I needed to support my Black Sabbath in a time when that kind of music didn't generally get much mainstream attention except as a reason for the youth of the day being so rotten.

18. I don't think I've ever bought anything from a t.v. ad.
I hope my citizenship doesn't get revoked!

The ones I remember are food and liquor, though. Does that count? lol

I find that I'm much less tempted to buy when I actually see the product.
