1. I'm not here (on DU) as much as usual, because it has stopped being an enjoyable experience.
Not the Lounge so much...just everywhere else...

2. I hear ya. I tend to skip the discussion portion of the GD and just concentrate on the issues
brought up that way....so I avoid the worst of it.

Yep.. never used to go to the Lounge. But I am there about 95% of my time on DU now

3. Oh yeah.
I used to post a chat thread and get 50-60 replies easily.

Now nobody replies to my OP's except a small group of long-time DU friends... :-(

It wasn't very many years ago that the Lounge threads moved so quickly that it was almost like a chat room...

8. I bet it'll pick up next year
This is not an election year, and even next year, there's no Democratic primary, just a rubber stamp.

This place will be hopping again, once the Republican primary is done, when we can really focus on which of those bums to hate.

It may not reach the "hopey, changey" level of 2008, but it should be entertaining.

I don't visit DU as much, just because I'm working a lot of hours recently. (a good thing, but tiring)

Many of the frequent posters in the lounge no longer post here because a) they were TS'd or b) their friends were TS'd. Facebook is where its at these days.
