At risk? What the heck does that mean? |

...my grandson went for some testing yesterday. The doctor wrote on his evaluation that he is 'at risk for autism spectrum disorder'. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN??

perhaps from information in the child's family history or through other physical indicators that leads the Dr. to believe that this child has a higher than normal possibility for acquiring some type of abnormalities in the realm of autistic disorders...mild to severe is not able to determine at this point and he is not ruling out the possibility that the child may never have this issue.
I would follow up with the Dr.
