My dog is guilt tripping me.
I didn't have time to walk her this morning, so she had to do her business in the back yard (oh the horror!). Now she's pacing and giving me "sad face". She doesn't understand that we could die, melt straight into the concrete, in this heat. I hate this weather!

1. I hear you ! In Texas too. I actually half-dreamed I needed to walk
Larry as soon as I woke up -- 6ish. Did I, no.

Hey, it's supposed to cool off to 98 soon

I spent all day watering my trees....100+ year old pecans which are dying.

2. I have been deep watering my trees.
You can get deep watering device at any home gardening place.

It is a thin tube about 18 inches long that a waterhose can attach to.

I am just hoping to save the trees.

3. We have a wooded hiking trail right behind the house. It is an absolute dogsend.
In the summer it's shaded from the sun and is pleasant and in the winter it's sheltered from the wind and feels warmer.

I don't know how I ever lived without it.
