2. Since casinos are one of our county's mainstays, I
suggest you try your luck with moderation. It's remarkable how much wealth they spread around among the locals.

3. You HAVE to see "Lost in America" if you haven't already.
Albert Brooks & Julie Hagerty are a Yuppie couple from NYC who decide to drop out of the rat race, cash out of their life's savings, & buy a huge RV to travel across the country.

The trouble begins when they stop in Las Vegas.

The funniest Albert Brooks movie, imo.

4. I really liked, "Modern Romance" -- especially this scene where...
.
.
.
... Brooks' assistant has given him some 'ludes to help him cope with
a painful break-up. Of course, Brooks does NOT wait until he gets home
to take them.
.
And yes, kids... "look at all my friends". That Rolodex he's going
through used to be our "Facebook".

Mr. Popularity. Mr. Popularity.

And Julie Hagerty -- my favorite scene is in "Rude Awakenings" where
Eric Roberts and Cheech Marin show up "from her 60's past" and get
her stoned for the first time in 20 years. Her desperate attempt to
open the HARD-frozen Haagen-Dasz container while she tells them of
some of the things they've missed out on over the last 20 years STILL
make me lol.

5. "Modern Romance" was right up there with "Lost in America".
"My albums...I LOVE my albums."

And then...SPLAT...the phone rings.

6. Went to the Quinalt Casino this last weekend
Played penny slots and walked away with $2.50, that I didn't go in with. I put it in the PAWS donation can at the grocery store. $2.50 isn't much, but unlike "barefoot" in the OP, I was taught to quit while ahead. Plus the slots are entertaining. Like getting paid to play a game.
