Shrub profaned my beloved Cardinal's home opener today!
I shall not be able to set foot in Busch Stadium again until it has been ritually purified, cleansing it of all residual evil left in his onerous wake... *sigh*

1. Maybe you should start rooting for the Reds.
At least you'd still be in the NL.

9. Well, the family Busch is almost as equally reprehensible.
Bush, Busch. Feh on both of these privileged, opportunistic, scummy families. All that money, all that influence, and they use it for dreck and to hurt everything around them; sentient beings, environment, the economy.

Just my opinion.

3. Wait....
Busch and Bush are two completely different families...and I believe from two different parts of the world...Aren't you safe?

4. For one of the few times in my life
I actually feel sorry for Cardinal fans. Imagine going to opening day and seeing that in the ballpark. But cheney was in Cincy for the Reds home opener. Ugh.

7. Minibrain's stupidity must have rubbed off on that Cards pitcher!

Why the hell did he let that grounder go?

Not that I'm complaining, or anything. :D

8. What Does He Know About Baseball?
Didn't he trade Sammy Sosa to Chicago in a deal gone bad?

10. Actually he traded Sammy to the White Sox
Who a year later traded him to my beloved Cubs. Both deals went bad, I believe. I know the deal with the Cubs was an absolute steal for the Cubs. George Bell for Sammy! yaaaaaayy!

11. Well, the Cards lost
it serves them right for having Bush throw out the first pitch.

Baseball owners are real right wing. They use baseball to sell the right-wing agenda. It's amazing to me to go to baseball games and to see all the prices and the nonstop inundation of advertisiing. Plus, the nationalistism (approaching fascism) is just out of hand. The sadistic ritual of having war planes buzz the stadiums and bombers that kill and bomb many innocent people in other countries is glorified. After 9-11 they replaced "take me out to the ballgame" with "God Bless America".

I've really lost A LOT of interest in following baseball (and all sports) because of all this. Let's face it, like other spectator sports, baseball is composed of multi-millionaire owners of teams whose players are millionaires playing in stadiums often paid for by working peoples' tax dollars all so that we can keep the masses minds off how they are getting screwed over while "they be fan of and follow their team."

13. During the 7th inning stretch in
Wrigley Field, they still sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" and I don't ever remember any war planes buzzing Clark & Addison either.

16. Look, meaning no offense, but it's impossible to profane the Cardinals any
more than they've already profaned themselves.

There's only a few baseballs teams worth anyone's time and let's face it, the Cardinals ain't one of them.

17. Der Shrubenfuhrer profaned more than just the Cardinal's home opener.
He profaned the entire State of Missouri and a good chunk of Illinois, too.

May God purify me. I am unclean thanks to der Shrubenfuhrer.
