FANTASTIC FOUR director to be announced tomorrow
Who do YOU think it should be?

Marvel producer Avi Arad put to rest several rumors of conflict over the hottest Marvel properties. First, on the notion that Fantastic Four has been plagued by constant battles between hopeful directors from Steven Soderbergh to Sean Astin, Arad confirmed he has decided on a director.

He just wouldn’t say whom.

“We have a director,” Arad said. “I cannot tell you who he is until Tuesday.”

1. If Clooney wants the role of Reed
I understand he's pretty much got it.

The problem is he was burned on Batman. He was born to play Reed, too bad his experience with BM make make him dodge this project.

2. Only if Soderbergh directs...
...which isn't going to happen, now that he's doing Che with Benicio Del Toro.

Who's your second choice, then?

3. I don't really have one
Although Brad Dourif or Steve Buscemi would make great Mole Men.

I would have originally said that the Thing couldn't be done without CGI, but it seems as if Hellboy has cone a pretty good (mostly) non-CGI "suit".

Sue? No freeping clue. Depends on if they're going for a "Buffy-esque" Sue or a "fainting maiden" Sue.

I'm actually not a casting geek. ;-)

4. What about
Kevin Costner as Reed
Rebecca de Mornay as Sue
Jake Busey as the Torch
Jean Reno as the Thing

and...

Tom Cruise as Dr. Doom
