1. Freedom's just another word for "nothing left to lose."

8. We may think it funny but I actually think it's true
the only true freedom must be when one is completely devoid of responsibility and cares. Nothing left to lose.

13. I agree. There's a fundamental truth in this, too.
Read "Man's Search For Meaning" by Viktor Frankl.

We often enslave ourselves to those material and even intangible things which can be taken from us by "acts of God" or "acts of man" over which we have little or no control. We then often make the additional error of choosing to surrender that which cannot be taken and can only be given away: our happiness.

3. I picked "choices 2-4 combined".
With those, all else follows. Without them, bad things begin to happen.

6. Freedom is
Speaking your mind, choosing your God(dess)(es) of choice (or not), loving who you want to love, the ability to pursue your dreams, and being your true self without fear of reprisals and repercussions.

7. When someone asks you to do something
Can you say no? If not, then you're not free.

10. i voted for 2 to 4
Freedom of expression (thought, speech, art, etc) is the most important, but the freedom to be irresponsible and the freedom to be jocular are important too. We still basically have freedom, both in the US and Canada, but unless things change and we throw out the ass**les, our freedoms will be even more eroded little by little.
